Our client is now seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their team. They are seeking a professional to work with the management team to provide management accounts, financial analysis and commercial insight to support business performance and decision-making. The Management Accountant will take responsibility for month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial controls.
The person will work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure all key information is delivered accurately and on time. This role plays a critical part in supporting the business by providing clear, relevant and timely financial information to the Management Team.
Requirements:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant β ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- 3+ yearsβ experience in a finance, Management accounting, or accounting-related role.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems, Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting, partnering with sales, operations and senior management with a strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting.
- Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and financial modelling.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Background in managing office operations in a fast-paced or multi-site environment is desirable.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Support the business with robust financial analysis to assist in informed decision-making.
- Product costing, calculate and maintain accurate standards and actuals cost for products.
- Yield analysis, monitor productions yields, waste and spoilage.
- Analysis of stock movement and control on slow moving/obsolete stock and stock adjustments.
- Complete month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
- Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast.
- Prepare detailed variance analysis and explain key financial movements.
- Assist with annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting.
- Ensure administrative processes are streamlined and aligned with business needs.
- Develop and maintain financial models and management reporting packs.
- Provide commercial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Report profitability and margin by product, customer and category.
- Provide costing information to support customer pricing.
- Ensure the integrity of ERP System, Inventory and Purchase systems and all system are integrated
