Myclientisafast-growingretailserviceproviderbasedintheCheadlearea.Theyareseekinga9-monthfixed-termpositionprovidingmaternitycoverwithintheFinanceandOperationsdepartment.TheManagementAccountantwilltakehands-onownershipofthemonthlymanagementaccountsprocessandthefinanceactivitiesrequiredtoproduceaccurate,timelyandwell-controlledfinancialinformation.Therolealsoownsroutinecustomerinvoicingandproformas,customerpaymentreceiptingandallocation,andtheadministrationandfinancialcontrolofstockorderinganddeliveries.WorkingcloselywiththeHeadofFinanceandOperations,thepostholderwillsupportagreedsystemandprocesschangesandmakepracticalsuggestionswhereopportunitiesareidentified.
Thisroleislookingforsomeonewhoisabletostartimmediately.
Dutiesoftherolewillinclude;
- Preparecompletemonthlymanagementaccountsandsupportingschedulestotheagreedtimetable
- Completemonth-endjournals,accruals,prepayments,revenuecut-off,balance-sheetreconciliationsandvarianceanalysis
- Ownroutinecustomerinvoicingandproformas,customerpaymentreceiptingandallocation,recurringpaymentsandkeypaymentreconciliations
- Administerstockorderinganddeliveries,includingapprovedordering,suppliercoordination,stocktakes,reconciliationandvaluation
- Preparesupplierpayments,verifyinvoicesandexpenses,andmaintainaccuratefinancialrecordsandaudittrails
- AssisttheHeadofFinanceandOperationswithagreedSage200andfinance-processchanges,providingpracticalsuggestionswhereappropriate
Therightcandidatefortherolewillbe:
- Fullyqualifiedorpart-qualifiedCIMA,ACCAorACA,orqualifiedbyexperiencewithsubstantialrelevantmanagement-accountingexperience
- AATLevel4qualifiedcandidatesmayalsobeconsideredwheretheycandemonstratesignificantexperienceindependentlypreparingcompletemonthlymanagementaccounts
- Aminimumof3years'recentexperienceinacomparableManagementAccountantorseniorfinancerole
- Recent,hands-onSage200experienceinafinanceenvironment,includingmonthend,reporting,reconciliations,customerinvoicing,paymentallocationandstock-relatedprocesses
- Demonstrableexperiencetakingownershipofthefullmonth-endprocessanddeliveringaccuratemanagementaccountstoagreeddeadlines
- Strongtechnicalknowledgeofmonth-endjournals,accruals,prepayments,revenuerecognition,accountingcut-off,balance-sheetreconciliations,fixedassets,depreciationandvarianceanalysis
- Experienceofcustomerinvoicing,proformas,customerpaymentallocation,bankreconciliations,directdebits,supplierpaymentsandtransactional-financecontrols
- Experienceofstockaccounting,includingstockreconciliation,valuation,stocktakesandthefinancialadministrationofstockorderinganddeliveries
- AdvancedMicrosoftExcelskills,includingpivottables,lookups,reconciliationsandfinancialanalysis
- Provenabilitytoinvestigatefinancialdiscrepancies,resolveissuesandmaintainaccuratesupportingrecordsandaudittrails
