Job Summary

San Simeon by the Sound is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the facility's physical plant, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and mechanical issues.

• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.

• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, resident areas, and common spaces.

• Maintain facility grounds, walkways, and exterior areas.

• Assist with emergency repairs and facility preparedness activities.

• Move equipment, furniture, and supplies as needed.

• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and facility policies.

• Participate in on-call and weekend coverage as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, commercial, residential, or institutional settings preferred.

• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.
