Maintenance Technician

We're supporting a growing and innovative production business in their search for a Maintenance Technician to join their site in Ely.

This is a hands-on, day shift role, working Monday to Friday, focused on ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation ofsite equipment while supporting continuous improvement across the business.

This opportunity would suit a proactive maintenance professional who enjoys fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and being a key part of a busy production environment.

Core Duties:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across site equipment and machinery
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to minimise downtime
• Conducting regular site walk-arounds to identify potential issues and improvement opportunities
• Taking ownership of maintenance schedules, prioritising workloads, and communicating plans with colleagues
• Supporting production teams with maintenance-related activities and technical guidance
• Monitoring spare parts, consumables, and workshop standards
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene requirements across the site

About You:

• Maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
• Mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications, or currently working towards them
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
• Fabrication skills would be advantageous
• Positive, approachable, and committed to continuous improvement
