Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance and Production departments with the day-to-day functionality of equipment and production lines.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery, belts, conveyors, PLCs, motors, gearboxes, and related equipment.
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the production plant.
• Follow daily and periodic maintenance schedules to ensure equipment and facility needs are completed on time.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks to improve equipment reliability and reduce production downtime.
• Follow all occupational health and safety and food safety guidelines.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow safe work practices.
• Promote a safe work environment and report unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a processing, CPG, food production, or similar industrial environment.
• 3+ years of experience working in a food production facility or similar setting preferred.
• Experience working with multi-meters, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs is an asset.
• Industrial Mechanic Millwright Trade Certification, Trade Code 433A, required.
