Maintenance Technician

Cargill is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering & Maintenance department. This position is crucial for ensuring the optimal functioning of our facilities and machinery which play a key role in our mission to nourish and sustain the global community. As a Maintenance Technician at Cargill, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and safety-focused environment, performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of state-of-the-art processing equipment.

Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and systems operate efficiently Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems on production machinery Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Record maintenance and repair work performed, and the amounts and types of equipment and supplies used Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Collaborate with management and production teams to schedule maintenance and minimize machinery downtime Assist with the installation of new equipment Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Proficiency with hand and power tools Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics Experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Good communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from a technical school or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred Electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic certifications are a plus
