Role Purpose

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating and performing maintenance activities to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment, facilities, and support systems. This position serves as the lead technician, providing guidance and direction to maintenance personnel while actively participating in troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Role Responsibilities Perform mechanical repairs (and rebuild) on all machines;

  • Pull and replace machine linear guides and ball screws;

  • Support with scheduling PM, reading report, diagrams and drawings;

  • Working knowledge of tool Probing function for CNC Mill Machines;

  • Able to work with complex NC machine up to & including 5 Axis;

  • Perform machine leveling and alignment on all machines;

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.

  • Repair machinery, equipment, and facility components as needed.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns.

  • Install, modify, or relocate equipment as directed.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.

  • Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance concerns before failures occur.

  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.

  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance work area.

  • Assist with facility upkeep, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

  • Work with production personnel to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Technical certification, vocational training, or apprenticeship preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial or manufacturing CNC maintenance experience preferred.

  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and work orders.

  • Valid driver's license preferred

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems and controls.

  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb.

  • Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.

  • Work around moving machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

  • Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment.

  • Ability to work overtime and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
