Maintenance Power Engineer

Role Overview Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems according to established procedures. Key Responsibilities Responsible for operating and maintaining water chillers, air compressors, boiler and other utility systems.

Ensures the reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems. Performs tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment. Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine dimensional changes of parts. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hand and power tools. Adheres to all plant safety policies.

Participates in plant‑wide safety, housekeeping, and operational excellence. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Holds a valid Power Engineer class 4 certificate.

An electrical license is a strong contributing factor. 3–5 years of practical hands‑on experience. Knowledge and Skills Demonstrates ability to operate machines, hand‑tools and electrical equipment. Possesses operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Can read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders. Has strong problem‑solving skills across multidisciplinary systems. Exhibits strong written and oral communication skills.

Can follow directions and work well in a team. Welding, machining, and fabrication experience is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.

Able to work in, on, around, and under fixed equipment and machinery; from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding; manipulate heavy equipment, tools and supplies; and work in hazardous or irritating environments, confined spaces, while wearing and working in personal protective equipment. Compensation Range The pay range for this position is $23.19 – $39.46 per hour. A competitive wage for new hires typically falls between $33.00 and $33.00 per hour.
