Machinist

Position: Machinist Company: Coastal Well Service Location: Morgantown, WV Schedule: Full-Time | Shop-Based Job Summary Coastal Well Service is seeking an experienced Machinist to support operations through precision machining, repair, and fabrication of downhole and surface equipment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational readiness and ensuring all machined components meet company and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders) Machine, repair, and modify oilfield tools, components, and assemblies Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges Maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality workmanship Inspect finished products for accuracy and conformance to specifications Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting Follow all Coastal Well Service safety policies and procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to meet job deadlines Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum 1 years experience as a machinist Strong knowledge of metals, tooling, feeds, and speeds Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Basic computer skills for documentation and machine interfaces Physical Requirements: The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required.
