Job Description
As a TPP Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining turret punch press machines to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams, supporting machine operations, quality inspections, and continuous improvement plans in a shopfloor environment.
This is an onsite role based in Kancheepuram, reporting to the Production Supervisor.
Your Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain TPP (Turret Punch Press) machines to ensure smooth production and minimal downtimePerform machine maintenance activities including lubrication, daily checklists, and tool/die managementConduct First Piece, in-process, and Last Piece inspections to ensure product quality and adherence to specificationsImplement machine programmes using G-codes and M-codes and coordinate with programmers for tool setup and process requirementsMaintain 5S standards, workplace organisation, and ensure safety compliance using PPE and standard guidelinesManage tools, materials, and documentation including production logs, rejection data, and maintenance recordsSupport continuous improvement (Kaizen), teamwork, and training of co-associatesThe Essentials - You Will Have:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification4–6 years of experience in turret punch press (TPP) operationsKnowledge of machine operation, tooling, and basic maintenance practicesUnderstanding of shop floor safety standards and Standard operating procedure (SOP) adherenceWillingness to work in shifts and across production areasThe Preferred - You Might Also Have:
Should have knowledge in Amada punching systems or similar equipmentExposure to G-code and M-code programming in manufacturingHands-on experience in quality inspection (FPI, in-process, LPI)Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practicesExposure in tool management and production documentationWhat We Offer:
