Lorry Driver (7.5T)

Reports To:Operations Manager

Location:Duncrue Crescent, Belfast

Hours: 40 Hours per week (Monday to Friday 7-4)

Salary: Hourly rate £15.01, with monthly performance bonus potential £250.

At Dreams & Sofatime, we're looking for a professional and customer-focused Category C Driver to join our delivery team. This is more than just a driving role you'll play a key part in creating a positive experience for our customers by delivering quality furniture into their homes with care and professionalism.

What You'll Be Doing...

• Delivering and collecting furniture safely and professionally while providing exceptional customer service.
• Ensuring products are loaded, secured, wrapped, and transported with care to arrive in perfect condition.
• Leading and supporting your driver's mate, ensuring excellent customer interactions throughout the delivery journey.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Keeping your vehicle clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
• Reviewing delivery routes and adapting plans where necessary, including during adverse weather conditions.
• Driving safely, responsibly, and in full compliance with legal requirements, tachograph regulations, and company policies.
• Taking ownership of each delivery, including careful placement of products within customers' homes.
• Reporting any incidents, accidents, or delivery concerns promptly.
• Maintaining delivery equipment and ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.

Essential Requirements

• Full Category C Licence (ability to drive an 18-tonne vehicle).
• Valid and up-to-date Driver CPC qualification.
• Physically fit and capable of handling heavy lifting as part of furniture deliveries.
• Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork.
