Job Description
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on the road but is also happy to assist with warehouse, loading, unloading and general logistics duties when required. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include driving a Mediumn Rigid (MR) truck to complete deliveries and collections across Sydney, loading and unloading goods safely, checking goods against delivery dockets and orders, ensuring loads are correctly secured and transported safely, obtaining proof of delivery and completing required paperwork, communicating with the office regarding deliveries, delays or access issues, carrying out daily vehicle and pre-start safety checks, keeping the Company vehicle clean and well maintained, assisting with picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch, receiving and organising incoming goods, general warehouse and logistics duties when required, and providing friendly and professional service to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Driving a Medium Rigid (MR) truck to complete deliveries and collections across Sydney
- Loading and unloading goods safely
- Checking goods against delivery dockets and orders
- Ensuring loads are correctly secured and transported safely
- Obtaining proof of delivery and completing required paperwork
- Communicating with the office regarding deliveries, delays or access issues
- Carrying out daily vehicle and pre-start safety checks
- Keeping the Company vehicle clean and well maintained
- Assisting with picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch
- Receiving and organising incoming goods
About you
- A current NSW MR Driver Licence or higher
- A good driving record and strong commitment to road safety
- Previous delivery driving, logistics or warehouse experience preferred
- Good knowledge of Sydney roads and surrounding areas
- Ability to safely undertake manual handling and loading/unloading duties
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A practical, positive and can-do attitude
Permanent full-time position
Monday to Friday work (Saturdays if required)
