Cardiac Surgery NP or PA locums coverage in Florida, mixing inpatient and outpatient care with scheduled clinic plus call. Patient population includes pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery.

• Ongoing Monday-Friday coverage with a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• Opportunity to work with both pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery patients
• Scheduled clinic hours combined with approximately 15 days of call per month
• 1:2 call rotation with a 30-minute response time
• Practice in a stroke-certified hospital with full backup support
• Florida licensure required; may consider candidates with an active IMLC LOQ while licensure is in process
• Required certifications include ACLS, PALS, and RNFA

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular surgery coverage
• Patient population includes adult and pediatric patients
• Support includes pediatric Level II coverage, a stroke-certified hospital, and full backup
• Charting in Cerner

Schedule

• Monday through Friday coverage, ongoing
• 8-hour shifts
• Call includes approximately 15 days per month, including weekends
• 30-minute response time with a 1:2 call ratio

Cases and Procedures

• Surgical coverage
• Rounding on assigned and unassigned patients

Requirements

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner
• Board certification in thoracic and cardiac surgery required
• Florida license required; may wait for licensure with an active IMLC LOQ
• ACLS, PALS, and RNFA required
