St. Elizabeth Community Hospital is looking for a locum Pediatric Hospitalist to help fill there urgent need! BID DUE DATE: FIRST TO FILL DATES OF COVERAGE: Nov 6 (a) - 11 Dec 9 (a) - 12 Dec 30 (a) - Jan 1 ongoing dates TBD DETAILS: Setting : Inpatient Required Procedures: pediatric resuscitation and intubation EMR : Cerner Care B Average Number of admissions per day? 4 (3-5) pediatric patients and 7 (3-15) newborn/nursery patients Average Number of ICU patients per day?
N/A Facility does not have a PICU and NICU is covered by neonatologists. Emergency Codes are run by emergency medicine physicians. Does the pediatrician on call see all kids that come into the ER?
No, they will provide an in-person evaluation or phone consultation based on ER physician's determination of the patient's condition. The pediatric hospitalist is the attending for any children admitted through the ER or by direct admit. Does the Pediatric Hospitalist attend All deliveries and cesarean sections even if there is No expected complications?
Definitely not. They are the attending for newborns admitted to the well-baby nursery after delivery. We have neonatologists who attend all high-risk deliveries.
CREDENTIALING INFORMATION: Timeframe: 30-60 days upon receipt of fully completed application. Requirements: MUST have CLEAN background and on ACTIVE/CURRENT staff at a TJC accredited facility with no restrictions on privileges. This role requires physician to provide resident teaching/precepting.

No TRAVEL PREFERENCES: Preferred Lodging: Please see attachment Travel Section - adjust first part to what provider will need up to "only" - "Flights, lodging, and car rental only. - Travel will abide by Travel Policy, except where otherwise indicated below." If Lodging - "Reimbursed by Receipt - Preferred lodging per job description or up 1.5x the GSA rate." If Car rental - "Reimbursed by Receipt - $65 'all-in' daily cap" If mileage - "IRS Standard rate per CSH guidelines" RATES TO SUBMIT: Malpractice rates - Must be included in the rates. Orientation rate (half the hourly rate, kicks in after 8 hours) - "Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours" 24 hour call - Must include 4 hours gratis - "per 24 hours to hold the pager, to include 4 hours gratis" Call back rate - Must match hourly rate - "per hour of patient contact hours after gratis hours are completed.
Gratis prorate to MSA terms." Holiday rates - 1.5x the regular rate per CS guidelines for all corresponding rates.
