Local Delivery Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain delivery trucks
• Load and unload goods at various locations
• Operate a forklift to load and unload when necessary
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to customers
• Follow assigned routes and schedules
• Verify delivery instructions and maintain accurate delivery records
• Inspect and report any issues or damage to the delivery vehicle
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations

Requirements

• Valid Class 3 driver’s license, with a clean driving record
• Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a delivery truck driver
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes
• Ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 100 pounds)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Available to work Monday to Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with the possibility of some overtime as needed

Preferred Requirements

• Working knowledge of both French and English languages

Local Deliveries in Montreal

• Deliver orders to customers (small boxes and skids)
• Pick up merchandise from suppliers
• Transfer merchandise between company locations

Additional Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery trucks (Big box truck and Econoline van)
• Inspect delivery vehicles and ensure the safety and security of the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with customers and suppliers
• Contact customers to confirm delivery details
• Determine placement of merchandise, follow safety and lifting protocols during deliveries, and conduct safety reviews
• Maintain delivery logs and records

Key Requirements

• Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a delivery truck driver.
• Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 100 lb.
• Good knowledge of local traffic laws, routes, GPS, and navigation tools.
• Strong customer service, communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Available to work Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with possible overtime as needed.
