Loan Operations Manager (Fund Services)
Quest Recruitment
Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Loan Operations professional to join a growing specialist team within a leading global financial services organisation.
The Loan Operations function is expanding in response to continued growth across private credit and fund-related lending. This is an opportunity to join a business investing significantly in its Irish operations, with new clients, launches and broader responsibilities continuing to come into the team.
This is not a traditional retail or commercial lending position. The role supports complex loan activity within a fund services environment, including syndicated and bilateral loans, private credit, loan lifecycle events, reconciliations, onboarding and client delivery.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of loan operations across a portfolio of client relationships, working closely with clients, internal stakeholders and operational teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and overseeing daily loan operations workflows
- Managing key client relationships, service levels and delivery deadlines
- Supporting syndicated loans, bilateral loans and other private credit structures
- Overseeing loan lifecycle activity, reconciliations and month-end processes
- Acting as an escalation point for operational and client-related matters
- Supporting the onboarding of new clients and loan portfolios
- Identifying and escalating operational risks
- Monitoring productivity, resourcing and service quality
- Training, mentoring and supporting members of the team
- Contributing to process improvements and wider operational projects
About You
You will ideally have:
- At least four years’ experience within loan operations, loan administration, private credit, fund services, debt services or a related middle-office environment
- Knowledge of syndicated or bilateral loans, including drawdowns, repayments, interest, fees and other lifecycle events
- Experience managing client relationships and operational deadlines
- Previous team leadership, supervision or people management experience
- A strong understanding of controls, reconciliations and operational risk
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work effectively across multiple teams and client relationships
Experience with platforms such as Sentry, WSO, ClearPar, Cassiopae or similar loan operations systems would be particularly valuable.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
You will be joining a specialist function at an important stage of its growth. The position offers exposure to a varied private credit client base, the opportunity to take on broader responsibilities and a clear platform for further career progression.
A competitive salary is available.
- comprehensive benefits package
- flexible working arrangements
- ongoing professional development support
