Line Cook

Line Cook is responsible for managing food preparation and guest service while delivering a welcoming, high-quality experience to every customer at Garage Sale. In this role, you will work independently, requiring strong communication skills, positive energy, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You will take and prepare customer orders, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, manage basic operational tasks, and ensure food is prepared to brand standards.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare food items according to recipes and quality standards. Assemble orders quickly and accurately. Ensure food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards are followed at all times.

Assist with basic cooking, portioning, and plating as required. Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff. Assist with restocking ingredients and supplies.

Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to a positive team environment. Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the shift and clean, sanitize, and close the station at the end of the shift. Receive, unpack and organize / put away any weekly store orders. (ie., liquor, retail, merchandise, food) Frequently monitor levels of trash throughout FOH + BOH and assist in breaking down any cardboard / waste.

REQUIREMENTS 3+ years experience in a high volume, professional kitchen environment. ServeSafe Foodhandler Card Knowledge of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be available to work nights, holidays and weekends.
