Learning Support Assistant Teacher

SENIOR SCHOOL ASSISTANT TEACHER - Barra School

The successful candidate will primarily support children in a classroom or a small group to help access learning. This position is for a professional who is passionate about education and student success, with excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, able to inspire trust and work collaboratively. The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, professionalism, discretion, and strong organisational skills.

Key responsibilites:

• Provide curriculum subject support.
• Assist in the planning of classroom activities.
• Assist in implementing classroom activities and maintaining classroom displays.
• Assist with school administration and preparation / ordering of teaching resources.
• Support behaviour management in line with school policies.

Key requirements:

• Relevant Brazilian teaching qualification (Licenciatura) or International teaching qualification.
• Previous experience with Special Education Needs and a qualification in Psicopedagogia or Special Education would be an advantage.
• Fluency at C1 level in English, supported by a recognised qualification.
• Experience working in a school setting.
• Understanding of pedagogical strategies.
