We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established 40-bed specialist care home in Belfast for an experienced Nurse Manager to join its dedicated and professional team.

The service supports adults with learning disabilities, providing a person-centred environment focused on dignity, independence, wellbeing, and high-quality clinical care.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader seeking a stable MondayFriday, 9am5pm management position, with a balance of clinical oversight, team leadership, and operational responsibility.

The successful candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, proven leadership ability, and a genuine commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, person-centred care. You will play an important role in the overall management of the service, providing visible leadership to nursing and care teams and supporting consistently high standards of care.

The Role

As Nurse Manager, you will:

• Provide strong, visible leadership to nursing and care teams
• Oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of the service
• Ensure individuals receive safe, effective, compassionate, and person-centred care
• Maintain and continuously develop high standards of clinical and social care
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing and care staff, encouraging professional development
• Develop, review, and implement clinical policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements
• Support the effective management of staffing, resources, and budgets
• Work closely with individuals, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders
• Promote a positive culture of teamwork, dignity, respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement
• Support the delivery of high-quality care within a specialist learning-disability environment

What Were Looking For

• Fully qualified General Nurse (RGN), Mental Health Nurse (RMN), or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)
• Valid NMC PIN
• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience
• Previous leadership or management experience is desirable
• Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent clinical knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements
• A proactive, compassionate, and professional leadership approach
• Genuine commitment to quality improvement and person-centred care
• An understanding of, or experience working within, learning-disability services would be advantageous
