Job Description
Copello are supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced Learning & Development Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an opportunity to shape and deliver a forward-thinking L&D strategy within a highly technical production environment. This role is based in Glenrothes or Livingston, with flexible working available.
What you’ll do: Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned to manufacturing and operational goals. Identify skills gaps across engineering and production teams through structured training needs analysis. Design and deliver blended learning solutions across technical and leadership development.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety, and quality frameworks. Lead talent development initiatives, including succession planning and leadership pathways. Manage L&D budgets, external training providers and learning systems (LMS).
Drive continuous improvement and digital transformation within learning processes. What you’ll bring: Proven experience in an L&D leadership role within manufacturing or engineering environments. Strong understanding of technical training and workforce capability development.
Relevant qualification (CIPD or similar) preferred. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
