Role Overview We are seeking a Performance Engineering Architect to lead performance strategy, design, and execution across large-scale, distributed systems. This role is critical in ensuring our digital platforms deliver exceptional speed, scalability, and reliability. You will partner with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to embed performance engineering practices early in the development lifecycle and drive measurable business impact. Impact of the Role • Drive performance excellence for global platforms serving millions of users. • Identify and mitigate performance risks early in the SDLC. • Enable scalable, resilient architecture aligned with business growth. • Deliver executive-level insights translating technical metrics into business outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Define and lead performance engineering strategy, including load, stress, scalability, and failover testing. • Translate business requirements into workload models, user concurrency, and traffic projections. • Establish performance benchmarks, SLAs, and acceptance criteria. • Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting aligned with release cycles. • Drive tooling strategy using JMeter, LoadRunner, and modern observability platforms. • Build monitoring dashboards across application, infrastructure, and network layers. • Conduct bottleneck analysis and provide optimization recommendations. • Collaborate with offshore teams, ensuring quality execution and timely delivery. • Establish best practices, reusable frameworks, and shift-left performance culture. Basic Qualifications • 10+ years in performance engineering or testing. • Experience in architect-level or leadership roles. • Strong expertise in performance tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. • Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or high-transaction environments. • Knowledge of SRE practices, chaos engineering, and scalability design. • Experience working with global teams and large-scale platforms.
