Overview

As Lead Software Developer in Test, you shape the quality engineering strategy for Elekta’s radiation therapy systems. You drive modern test automation, champion shift-left quality, and ensure safety-critical software meets the highest standards. You work with software engineers, testers, product owners, and architects to build scalable test solutions and elevate release confidence.

• Design, develop, and evolve automated test frameworks for safety-critical software
• Define and implement test automation strategies supporting high-quality delivery
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and release confidence
• Serve as the technical authority for test architecture, tooling, and quality practices
• Collaborate with development teams, product owners, and architects to build scalable, testable solutions
• Mentor and support SDETs and test engineers to promote a quality-first mindset
• Drive continuous improvement through adoption of new testing technologies and practices
• Investigate and resolve complex software quality issues and contribute to long-term quality roadmaps

• Significant experience as a Software Developer in Test, SDET, or Test Automation Engineer
• Strong experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and implementing modern DevSecOps practices
• Proven ability to define and drive quality engineering strategies in regulated or safety-critical environments
• Hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Cypress, Selenium, or similar automation technologies
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with ability to influence teams
• Experience troubleshooting complex software quality challenges and driving continuous improvement
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
