A rapidly growing engineering organization is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II with demonstrated experience in the design and development of turbine-based power generation systems, along with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles. This individual will play a key role in supporting ongoing growth initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions and contribute to new product development efforts. RELOCATION WILL BE SUPPORTED Role and Responsibilities β Lead the design, development, and validation of power generation equipment and associated systems. β Manage engineering projects from initial concept through full execution, ensuring quality, performance, and adherence to timelines. β Apply core mechanical engineering principles to address complex design, manufacturing, and operational challenges. β Identify, source, and qualify critical components for equipment builds, optimizing for cost, quality, and lead time. β Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support system upgrades, modifications, and new product introductions. β Maintain and develop relationships with key suppliers and vendors. β Evaluate and improve system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. β Stay current with relevant industry standards, technologies, and regulatory requirements. β Support and mentor junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Professional Qualifications β Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. β Approximately 10+ years of relevant engineering experience, including hands-on involvement in turbine or rotating equipment systems. β Proven experience in the design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of power generation or similar industrial equipment. β Strong understanding of supply chain processes and vendor management. β Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
