Lead Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer – Java to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance Java applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot, experience with microservices and cloud technologies, and the ability to mentor engineers while driving technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance Java applications.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers.
• Design and implement microservices-based architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and architectural standards.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Drive application performance, scalability, security, and reliability improvements.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and support their technical growth.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high quality.
• Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud deployment practices.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend suitable solutions.

Required Skills :

• Strong hands-on experience with Core Java, Java 8+, Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, and JVM concepts.
• Excellent knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.
• Strong experience in REST APIs and Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ or other messaging systems.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins/GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, SOLID, design patterns, and system design.

Good to Have :

• Experience working with high-volume, distributed systems.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular or React.
• Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in designing cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of application monitoring and observability tools.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
