Lead Architect / Senior Developer (Franklin)

Salary: 130,000 - $200,000 per year Position Summary Ariento is seeking a Lead Architect / Senior Developer to provide technical leadership and architectural governance while contributing directly to software development. This role owns solution technical design, guides engineering standards, and ensures that development activities follow a disciplined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The role combines architectural leadership with hands-on engineering responsibility.

The Lead Architect / Senior Developer will guide the design of systems, integrations, and cloud infrastructure, lead a small team of offshore developers, while ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Technical Design Own technical design of new solutions and system capabilities Define application architecture, service structure, and integration patterns Review and approve technical designs prior to development Ensure consistency with architecture standards and best practices Software Development Leadership Contribute directly to development using Python and Django Manage a small team of offshore developers Design and implement application services and APIs Guide development practices and code quality Support resolution of complex technical issues Experience implementing AI SDLC technologies and best practices Integration Architecture Define architecture for external system integrations Design secure and scalable API and service communication patterns Ensure integrations follow reliability and error-handling standards Maintain documentation of integration dependencies and workflows Cloud Architecture Guide system deployment and infrastructure design in Google Cloud Support scalable infrastructure patterns Ensure monitoring, logging, and operational visibility are incorporated into system design Architecture Documentation Maintain architecture documentation including: system architecture diagrams integration architecture deployment architecture data flow diagrams Engineering Collaboration Participate in technical design discussions and engineering planning Review code and mentor developers Support technical estimation and implementation planning SDLC Governance Support development standards and code review practices Define architecture review checkpoints within the SDLC Support CI/CD development practices and disciplined engineering processes Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related field 8+ years of experience in software engineering Strong experience developing applications using Python and Django Strong SDLC implementation and governance experience Experience designing scalable application architectures Strong understanding of REST APIs and system integrations Experience working with Google Cloud Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 Experience with modern source control and development workflows Experience managing offshore software development teams Preferred Qualifications Experience designing cloud-native or SaaS architectures Familiarity with NIST or FedRAMP security frameworks Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines Experience documenting architecture for complex systems Benefits: 401(k) Paid time off Health insurance Optional Dental and Vision insurance
