Floriole Cafe & Bakery Floriole is a neighborhood bakery rooted in seasonality, craft, and thoughtful sourcing. We care deeply about the quality of what we make and how we operate as a team. This role is not primarily about developing new pastries.
It is about leading a team, executing consistently at a high level, and ensuring the bakery runs in a structured, organized, and accountable way every day. We are looking for a Kitchen Manager/ Head Baker who is as strong in operations and leadership as they are in baking. What You’ll Do Build and manage daily and weekly production plans based on sales and inventory Own inventory: ordering, tracking, and minimizing waste Lead the baking team: training, accountability, and clear communication Maintain and enforce product quality standards across all items Make real-time production decisions to keep the bakery running smoothly Use systems (Google Sheets, ordering tools, etc.) to track production and communicate clearly Collaborate with ownership and the GM to improve systems and workflow What Success Looks Like The team knows what they are doing each day—no confusion, no scrambling Production is aligned with actual demand (not over- or under-producing) Inventory is accurate and proactively managed Quality is consistent, and issues are caught before products reach the case You make decisions confidently without needing constant escalation Leadership Expectations Steps into decision-making without deferring unnecessarily Holds team members accountable while maintaining respect Communicates clearly and proactively Identifies problems early and brings solutions Requirements Strong baking and production experience in a professional kitchen Proven leadership experience managing a team Strong organizational and planning skills Working knowledge of Google Sheets (editing, basic formulas, tracking production/inventory) Comfort using digital tools for ordering, scheduling, and communication Ability to stay calm and decisive in a fast-paced environment This Is Not the Right Role If You: Are primarily interested in recipe development or creative work Prefer to be told what to do rather than making decisions Avoid addressing performance or quality issues directly Struggle with organization, planning, or follow-through Are uncomfortable using spreadsheets and digital systems daily More detail about Floriole Cafe & Bakery, please visit https://culinaryagents.com/entities/1463-Floriole-Cafe-%2526-Bakery
