Kitchen Manager

Edith's is looking for kitchen manager who thrives in a fast paced environment and who can elevate our patrons' culinary experience without losing the integrity of the product. Edith's is a quickly growing Jewish Deli in Brooklyn and serves gourmet bagels, sandwiches, and baked goods. Our ideal candidate is able to handle a busy breakfast rush while being flexible and reliable.

WEEKENDS REQUIRED Requirements: - Minimum 5 years of experience - Cooks food items by grilling, eggs etc, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. - Prior Egg cookery and knowledge - Ability to execute at high volume and works efficiently - Is professional and punctual - Has attention to detail - Is a team player and communicates well with both BOH and FOH - Is a self-starter who can work without constant directives - Is able to work a dining room with a small team - Experience in a leadership role is a plus but not required Responsibilities - Packing deliveries/takeouts and sending them out on time - Sending items in a timely manner - Set up and work the pass during daily service - Collaborate with management on service and process - Create and maintain systems that streamline process - Jump in to assist other team members as necessary - Fully manage BOH schedule - Responsible for purchasing and managing COGS - Responsible for hitting the company's operational and financial goals: mainly managing, cogs, ticket times, food quality, labor - Ensuring all daily checklists are completed and executed on time.
