Barnstone Kennels And Cattery – Duffys Forest NSW

We are looking for a kennel technician to join our dedicated team 2 - 4 days a week, primarily over the holiday periods. You will be working in a team of other animal-lovers and will be responsible for cleaning, feeding, and handling dogs and cats of a different size, age, and temperaments. This also includes bathing pets, exercising pets, health checking and weighing pets under the instruction of your kennel supervisor.

You will be required to work rotating weekends, school holidays, public holidays and weekdays. The position may be ongoing depending on your performance.

Key responsibilities

• Cleaning, feeding, and handling dogs and cats of different sizes, age, and temperaments
• Bathing pets
• Health checking and weighing pets under the instruction of your kennel supervisor
• Working rotating weekends, school holidays, public holidays and weekdays

• Confident handling pets of different breeds and sizes
• Responsible and have the pets best interest in mind
• Friendly
• Have a passion for animal care
• Hardworking and not afraid to get their hands dirty
• Available over weekends and public holidays
• Willing to learnWork well under pressure
• Reliable
• Have your own license and means of transport (public transport does not come out to us)
• Previous animal experience or qualifications are highly preferred
