Job Description
Job Title: Junior Interior/ Spatial Designer Location: Ahmedabad / On-site Experience: 1-2 years Education qualification Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, Exhibition Design, Experience Design or similar Candidates with a strong portfolio, relevant project experience, and hands-on knowledge of space planning, working drawings, 3D visualisation, and execution support will also be considered. Role Knownsense Studios is looking for an Interior Designer to support museums, experience centres, exhibitions, immersive spaces, and experience-led projects. The role focuses on layouts, working drawings, shop drawings, 3D modelling, site coordination, vendor follow-ups, and execution support for spaces that combine design, storytelling, technology, and new media.
Key Responsibilities Prepare layouts, plans, sections, elevations, working drawings, and detail drawings Coordinate shop drawings with vendors, fabricators, carpenters, and site teams Support 3D modelling, renders, and spatial visualisation Assist with site measurements, supervision, progress checks, and execution coordination Support material samples, finishes, mockups, and on-site detailing Communicate clearly with internal teams, vendors, and site teams Must Know Sketching and Layouting Basic sketching, space planning, zoning, circulation, scale, proportion, and spatial flow Drawings - AutoCAD and Similar Tools AutoCAD or similar tools for plans, sections, elevations, working drawings, detail drawings, shop drawings, and execution drawings 3D Modelling - SketchUp and Similar Tools SketchUp for quick 3D modelling, spatial blocking, furniture/layout studies, and volume understanding or similarly for Rhino, Blender, or 3ds Max is an added value Rendering and Visualisation Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray, D5 Render, or similar tools for renders, walkthroughs, lighting, materials, and presentation visuals AI Tools for Concept Exploration AI rendering/visualisation tools for quick mood generation, style references, material studies, and rapid concept iterations. Graphic and Presentation Tools Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint and similar for mood boards, presentations, design documentation Core Skills Clear communication, attention to detail, and a strong sense of space, scale, material, finishes, and detailing . Preferred Background Interior Design, Architecture, Spatial Design, Exhibition Design, or Experience Design Portfolio Required Layouts, working drawings, shop drawings, 3D views, renders, AI-assisted work, and execution-related projects Additional Requirement Must be comfortable with site visits, supervision, vendor coordination, fabrication follow-ups, carpenter/site support, and project-based travel Reporting The role will work closely with the Space & Experience designing team, along with technology experts, storytellers internally and otherwise with vendors, fabricators, and site teams
