We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Junior Operations Officer who will support daily operational activities while contributing to the continuous improvement and digitalization of the Operations Department.
The ideal candidate combines strong execution discipline with analytical thinking, demonstrating comfort in challenging existing workflows and helping modernize processes in collaboration with Operations and Technology teams.
Main Responsibilities
Operational Execution & Control
- Perform and validate payments execution, including confirmations, controls, and reconciliations.
- Execute and monitor correspondent banking operations with accuracy and timely follow‑up.
- Provide cross‑team operational support as required.
- Knowledge of SWIFT, Target and SEPA platforms would be an advantage
Process Improvement & Optimization
- Assess current operational processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose structured improvements.
- Participate in initiatives related to process optimization, efficiency gains, and workflow redesign.
- Support and collaborate on automation initiatives, dashboard development, and operational digitalization.
- Work closely with IT, Operations, and process owners to streamline workflows and reduce operational risk.
Risk Awareness & Control Discipline
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and control frameworks.
- Support exception handling, root‑cause analysis, and corrective‑action implementation.
Academic Background & Experience
- Degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in banking operations, financial back‑office or middle‑office payments
- Practical exposure to process optimization, workflow analysis, or operational improvement projects (highly valued).
- Experience with operational systems, back‑office tools, or automation platforms is a strong plus.
Relevant Skills
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to understand and improve workflows.
- Sense of responsibility, organization, autonomy, and ownership of tasks.
- Effective communication skills and team‑oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Working knowledge of Power BI, Excel macros/VBA, or low‑code platforms (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus.
- Ability to challenge the status quo constructively and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
