Junior Laboratory Assistant - Full-Time or Part-Time Job Share
Join our Quality team as a Junior Laboratory Assistant, working closely with our production team. You'll carry out routine analytical testing on raw materials and in-process samples, helping us maintain consistent product quality and meet compliance standards. This is a great opportunity for a science student or recent graduate to gain real-world laboratory experience.
Offered either on a Full Time basis, or Part Time job share (< 20 hours per week)
Key responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests on raw materials and process samples, following established SOPs
- Accurately record, calculate and report test results and measurements
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe laboratory workspace
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures when handling equipment, chemicals and samples
- Communicate any unusual test results or quality concerns to the Quality Manager
- Assist with general administrative tasks in the Quality department, such as filing test records and updating logs
About you
- Currently studying, or recently graduated from, a science-related degree
- Background in chemistry or microbiology
- Ability to follow set procedures accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A reliable team player who's also comfortable working autonomously
