Job Description

Professional Search Group (PSG) is looking for a Junior Applications Developer to join their Applications Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer to build hands‑on experience across the full application lifecycle while working on business‑critical systems, ERP platforms, integrations and reporting solutions.

Working alongside experienced developers, you'll gain exposure to modern development practices, cloud technologies and enterprise applications in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You'll assist with the development, maintenance and support of core business applications while providing application support and contributing to ongoing technology improvements. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills while working on real‑world business systems.

Location: Perth, WA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining business applications, ERP systems, integrations and reporting solutions.
  • Provide Level 1 and 2 application support, troubleshooting issues and resolving service requests.
  • Support application testing, deployments and system enhancements.
  • Work with senior developers to deliver new features and improvements.
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing and development best practices.
  • Learn and apply modern development practices, including version control, secure coding and CI/CD principles.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable business solutions.

You'll have:

  • A relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Foundational experience in software development or application support.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and an understanding of databases.
  • Exposure to programming languages such as C#, .NET or similar.
  • An understanding of APIs, integrations or web services.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to Azure, AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of Git, Power BI or Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Understanding of SDLC, testing and modern development practices.
