Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM IST (Hybrid – Mandatory Office Presence)

Important Work Requirement (Please Read Carefully Before Applying):

This is a hybrid role based in Vadodara.

  • Mandatory Office Hours: 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM IST (work from our Vadodara office)
  • Work From Home: 9:30 PM to 1:00 AM IST

Candidates must currently be based in Vadodara OR willing to relocate to Vadodara before joining.

This is not a fully remote role. Applications from candidates unwilling to relocate will not be considered.


Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for assigned clients. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close, processing payroll, clearing AMA items, and assisting with tax data entry under the supervision of a Senior Accountant.


Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Accounting:

  • Perform monthly and annual bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online or Desktop.
  • Fetch bank and credit card statements and record transactions accurately in QuickBooks, including journal entries, by identifying expense nature along with payroll and sales tax entries.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist with Ask My Accountant (AMA) clearance and support closing entries as per reviewer instructions
  • Maintain proper documentation and organized financial records.

Payroll:

  • Process payroll for assigned clients using Payroll Relief or equivalent payroll software.
  • Ensure payroll data is accurately reflected in accounting records.

Tax Support:

  • Perform individual and business tax data entry in UltraTax.
  • Assist senior team members during tax preparation and review cycles.


Reporting & Compliance:

  • Ensure work complies with internal processes and accounting standards.
  • Coordinate closely with the Senior Accountant and follow review feedback promptly.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop required.
  • Working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with reviewers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.


Preferred / Added Advantage:

  • Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting support roles.
  • Exposure to Payroll Relief, UltraTax, or similar tax software.
  • Experience working with multiple clients or in a CPA / accounting firm environment.
