The Journeyman Plumber will independently handle a variety of residential plumbing projects, frequently traveling between job sites. This role requires expertise in pipe installation, system maintenance, and leak repair using standard plumbing and power tools as well as digital diagnostic equipment. Working with minimal supervision under team lead oversight, the plumber ensures compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards while maintaining effective communication with customers.

 

Responsibilities

• Install pipes and plumbing systems for residential projects
• Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including leak detection and resolution
• Read and interpret blueprints to plan installations and repairs
• Ensure code compliance and adherence to safety procedures
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues using diagnostic tools
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Handle plumbing equipment and tools safely and efficiently
• Estimate material needs for projects accurately

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in plumbing or pipefitting
• Proficient in blueprint interpretation and safety compliance
• Strong problem-solving skills and physical stamina
• Excellent customer service and tool operation skills
• Effective time management for handling multiple job sites
