Job Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced Information Technology (IT) Systems Engineer and Technical Assistant (SETA) for a position supporting a US Government customer in the Chantilly, VA area. The successful applicant will exhibit flexibility in task execution and provide technical expertise on various IT Service Management (ITSM) topics, including service delivery oversight, Event Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Continuous Service Improvement (CSI). As a SETA, the candidate may assist with Systems Engineering topics such as requirements, configuration management, readiness, verification, and validation to ensure continuity across multiple IT service deliveries.
The SETA advisor must demonstrate value-added judgment and advise the government on program activities. The candidate will produce recommendations and deliverables aligned with organizational objectives related to IT infrastructure provisioning. US Citizenship and an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Poly are required to start and must be maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate must be able to: Operate proactively, leading and executing project engagements independently Serve as the primary customer interface and advocate, managing technical and relationship aspects to ensure mission success and maximize service adoption Act as a change agent to ensure quality assurance and support a culture shift toward standardized IT service delivery Convert product requirements into total systems solutions considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate customer needs into hardware and software specifications Educate consumers on current and upcoming IT services, changes, and impacts Understand the relationship between delivery schedules and IT service roadmaps Act as a key Technical Advisor to identify service requirement gaps supporting the customer’s mission architecture Provide detailed information on selection, implementation techniques, and tools for efficient solutions meeting current and future capacity needs Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Must be a US Citizen Degree in a STEM field: Bachelor’s with 5+ years or Master’s with 3+ years of experience Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph Experience with Intelligence Community (IC) infrastructure is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
