Job Description
We're looking for a IT Support Analyst – Pensions, to join our growing Application Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting critical business applications and processes that underpin our pensions operations.
Working closely with business users, IT teams, and external partners, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our applications, support the resolution of issues, and contribute to ongoing process improvements and change initiatives. This role offers excellent exposure across the business and would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
About the Role
As an IT Support Analyst – Pensions, you'll act as a key link between business teams, technology teams, and third-party suppliers to ensure services are delivered effectively and operational issues are resolved efficiently. The successful candidate will report into the Pensions Support Lead.
You'll support both business-as-usual activities and strategic change initiatives, helping to improve processes, enhance system performance, and deliver an excellent service to our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day business operations and application services.
- Manage and coordinate queries, incidents, and service requests.
- Work with IT teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Investigate operational incidents and support root cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation, action logs, and process records.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and ways of working.
- Support data validation, reporting, dashboards, and management information.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business readiness activities.
- Contribute to project delivery, change initiatives, and go-live support.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys working collaboratively across teams.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience supporting business applications, systems, or operational processes.
- An understanding of business processes and technology systems.
- Experience working with incident, service management, or ticketing tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience producing reports, analysing data, or maintaining management information.
- Experience supporting or participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience within pensions, protection, insurance, or broader financial services is advantageous.
