Job Description
Position Overview Oversees upgrades and enhancements to various domains for Electronic Health Record (EHR), providing technical knowledge on integrating data for the organization. Coordinates modifications and new enhancements, including planning and oversight of interface installation. Responsible for configuration and non‑infrastructure support of Capital Health (CH) interface engine.
Acts as liaison between clinical, financial, infrastructure, security and technical solution owners at both corporate and facility levels, and other third‑party consultants/vendors. Pay Range Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part‑time). Pay Range : $92,289.60 – $120,577.60 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 hours per week.
Minimum Requirements Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience. Experience: Four years of experience supporting an enterprise system platform; experience with programming languages including SQL, JavaScript, and HTML; experience in healthcare information technology or integration architecture; experience in software implementation. Cerner EHR preferred.
Other Credentials Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of hospital systems such as Lawson, EPIC, Cerner, etc. Understanding of supply chain inventory data and process flows.
Ability to function professionally with all levels of staff and management. Advance computer skills. Understanding of hospital EHR systems.
Essential Functions Creates and maintains processes for package installs for code changes and enhancements; works closely with CWx and solutions owners on new packages (break/fix), admin packages (technical enhancements), content (multum) solution enhancements (non‑break fix) on process for requests, testing and moving into production; coordinates domain strategy for upgrades, packages and downtimes with CWx and organization; flash management and monitoring; domain refresh scheduling, process and testing. Creates and maintains standard issue management process (post go‑live, testing, upgrades, package installs); manages process issues logged internally; and monitors and manages SRs logged to Cerner solution support and process. Creates and maintains process and structure of standard change control process; leads meetings for change control requests and works with solution and technical teams on implementing changes and reviews risks and/or potential impacts; works with Cerner support to maintain change control policy and structure.
Leads and tracks implementation of production improvement items/flashes and packages via LightsOn; reviews and monitors end‑user experience via LightsOn, Olympus and Smart Auditor; reviews crash analysis data and communicates potential impact or needed improvement via LightsOn; creates reporting mechanisms for auditing via Olympus; manages auditing and security for P2 Sentinel; manages or assists with 724 downtime solution - setup, monitoring, new allocation of PCs or locations and testing. Develops and maintains a Cerner domain strategy for testing domain refreshes; maintains testing strategies for upgrades and code management; maintains and creates testing strategies for break fix and enhancements – both technical and clinical for the integration process; owns IT testing strategy for new implementations and any other testing needed. Serves as an authorized client approver for Cerner to make changes within the production environment and must understand any risks or potential impacts to live domain.
Collaborates with Clinical IT leadership to ensure analysts keep various domains in sync such as Train, Mock, Build, Cert and Prod. Leads domain activities; owns access needs to consultants and Cerner associates; testing strategy; issue management; change control; code management; leads project calls. Escalates issues following leadership matrix within IT.
Engages in critical clinical situations with analysts, communicates to team and organization as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Work Environment Frequent physical demands include: Sitting.
