The IT Project Manager provides leadership and is accountable for the endâtoâend delivery of complex, multiâyear, enterpriseâwide IT initiatives.
This role oversees projects with significant organizational impact, including digital transformation programs, enterprise application deployments, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity initiatives, and crossâfunctional technology integrations. The IT Project Manager operates with a high degree of autonomy, exercises expert judgment, and influences decisionâmaking at all organizational levels. The role requires advanced technical knowledge, sophisticated risk management capabilities, and the ability to lead diverse teams through ambiguity and rapid change.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Strategic Leadership & Governance Lead moderate to large IT projects/Programs that are aligned with the strategic business imperatives of the organization. Apply project governance structures as defined by the PMO, decisionâmaking frameworks, and escalation protocols. Advise senior leadership on project feasibility, resource strategy, and technology alignment with business objectives.
Manage multiple concurrent projects with complex interdependencies, often involving crossâfunctional teams, external vendors, and regulatory requirements. Oversee detailed project planning, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk mitigation. Ensure all deliverables meet stringent quality, security, and compliance standards.
Risk, Compliance & Financial Accountability Own accountability for project budgets, including forecasting, costâbenefit analysis, and financial reporting. Identify, assess, and mitigate complex technical, operational, and organizational risks. Ensure compliance with internal controls, cybersecurity standards, privacy legislation, and audit requirements.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead multidisciplinary teams including developers, analysts, architects, cybersecurity specialists, and external consultants. Provide performance feedback to line management. Facilitate executiveâlevel communication, presenting project status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and steering committees.
Work with vendors and third parties ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions, SLAâs and performance expectations. Technical Expertise & Solution Delivery Ensure solutions are aligned to the architectural standards Oversee testing execution, quality assurance, and user acceptance processes. Lead postâimplementation reviews, ensuring continuous improvement and knowledge transfer.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM Bachelorâs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. PMP certification (is an asset) Experience Minimum 6â8 years of progressive experience in IT project management, including leadership of largeâscale, enterpriseâlevel initiatives. Demonstrated success managing multimillionâdollar budgets and highârisk technology programs.
Experience leading organizational change and digital transformation. Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Confluence). Strong understanding of IT systems, cloud technologies, cybersecurity and enterprise architecture.
