Role Description

The IT Network & Systems Engineer is a full time hybrid role based in Dublin, with the flexibility to work both on-site and from home. This role is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and monitoring network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to ensure secure and reliable connectivity. The engineer will manage servers and systems, perform routine updates and patches, and oversee backup and recovery processes.

Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving network and systems issues, implementing security best practices, and collaborating with internal teams and clients to support their IT environments. The role may also involve documenting configurations, creating technical guidelines, and contributing to the planning and implementation of infrastructure improvements.

What you'll do:

• Administer and maintain network connectivity - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and enterprise Wi-Fi
• Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Active Directory environments
• Configure and support Azure/Entra ID identity, MFA, and Conditional Access policies
• Manage endpoint policy and device compliance via Microsoft Intune
• Apply security configurations using Microsoft Defender and Purview
• Support network switches, routers, and access points across multiple sites
• Maintain clear technical documentation and manage incidents via ServiceNow/Jira

What you'll bring:

• 3+ years' experience in network or systems administration
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure/Entra ID
• Microsoft certifications (MS-102, AZ-104) or equivalent
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or related field
• Strong communication and documentation skills; comfortable working directly with clients
