As we continue to expand our Color Grading, DI, and CG-VFX services globally, we are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and optimize the technology infrastructure that powers our creative and technical operations.

Role Overview The IT Manager will be responsible for designing, maintaining, securing, and scaling Nube Studio's post-production infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in high-performance storage systems, networking, workstation management, virtualization, backup strategies, and post-production technology workflows. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting professional Color Grading, DI, VFX, or Broadcast facilities and possess strong working knowledge of both Baselight and DaVinci Resolve environments.

You will work closely with Producers, Colorists, VFX Supervisors, Artists, and Operations teams to ensure uninterrupted system performance, maximum uptime, and efficient workflow across all projects. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Management • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade IT infrastructure supporting Color Grading, DI, VFX, and Content Finishing operations. • Manage high-performance storage environments including NAS, SAN, RAID arrays, and tiered storage architecture. • Monitor and optimize storage performance, throughput, redundancy, and scalability. • Ensure maximum uptime across production-critical systems and facilities. Post-Production Systems Administration • Maintain and support Baselight grading systems, DaVinci Resolve suites, Online Editing workstations, VFX workstations, and review systems. • Configure and optimize Linux, macOS, and Windows-based environments used throughout the facility. • Collaborate with creative teams to troubleshoot technical bottlenecks affecting project workflows. • Manage software deployment, upgrades, licensing, and compatibility across all production systems.

Network Architecture & Performance • Design and maintain high-bandwidth network infrastructure supporting 10GbE, 25GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE environments. • Configure and manage switches, routers, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and network security policies. • Optimize media transfer performance between grading suites, render nodes, storage systems, and cloud services. • Monitor network health and proactively address performance issues. Data Security & Disaster Recovery • Develop and enforce data security protocols, access control policies, and operational best practices. • Implement backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies for critical production assets. • Manage LTO archive infrastructure and long-term asset preservation workflows. • Ensure compliance with client security requirements and content protection standards. Cloud & Remote Workflows • Manage cloud-based storage, collaboration, and review platforms. • Support remote grading, client review sessions, remote editorial, and distributed production workflows. • Configure secure file transfer solutions and cloud synchronization systems.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management • Lead and mentor internal IT personnel and external technical vendors. • Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, facility expansions, and technology investments. • Maintain relationships with technology partners and service providers. • Evaluate emerging technologies relevant to post-production workflows. What We're Looking For • 5+ years of IT management experience within a Post-Production, DI, VFX, Broadcast, Animation, or Media Technology environment. • Proven experience supporting mission-critical creative facilities and production infrastructure. • Strong understanding of Color Grading, DI, Editorial, VFX, and Delivery workflows. • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and workflow challenges under tight deadlines. • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset. Technical Expertise Required Color Grading & DI Systems • Strong operational and infrastructure knowledge of Baselight systems. • Strong operational and infrastructure knowledge of DaVinci Resolve Studio environments. • Understanding of shared project databases, render workflows, cache management, and grading storage requirements. • Familiarity with ACES, HDR, Dolby Vision, IMF, DCP, and modern color management workflows.

Storage & Data Management • Enterprise SAN and NAS administration. • RAID configuration and storage performance tuning. • Quantum, EditShare, Facilis, Jellyfish, Synology, QNAP, or equivalent media storage platforms. • LTO archival systems and asset lifecycle management. Operating Systems • Linux administration (Rocky Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL). • macOS deployment and management. • Windows Server and Active Directory administration. Networking • Advanced TCP/IP networking concepts. • VLAN design and implementation. • Firewall and VPN administration. • High-performance media networking environments.

Virtualization & Cloud • VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V, or equivalent virtualization platforms. • AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Backblaze, Wasabi, or similar cloud infrastructure. • Cloud storage synchronization and media workflows. Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience in a professional Color Grading, DI, Finishing, or CG-VFX facility. • Certifications in networking, systems administration, cloud infrastructure, or cybersecurity. • Experience supporting facilities operating 24/7 production schedules. • Knowledge of render farm management and GPU-based infrastructure. • Familiarity with ShotGrid, ftrack, Frame.io, Aspera, Signiant, and MASV workflows.
