We are now looking for a Group IT Manager to support and enhance IT operations across the group, ensuring systems, infrastructure and security are robust, scalable and fit for growth. This is a hands‑on leadership role with group-wide responsibility, covering IT operations, cyber and security improvement, supplier management, and team leadership. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will take ownership of day‑to‑day IT across the group, manage the IT Coordinator, and play a key role in improving security posture and operational performance.

You’ll also contribute to IT planning and support the integration of newly acquired businesses. This role is ideal for someone stepping up from a senior IT position into a broader management role, with the opportunity to influence how IT is delivered across a growing, multi‑company group. Taking ownership of day‑to‑day IT operations across the group, ensuring systems and services are reliable, secure and continuously improving Line managing the IT Coordinator, providing direction, support and development Driving the group’s cyber and security improvement programme, strengthening policies, controls and overall security posture Managing relationships with external MSPs and technology suppliers, ensuring delivery against SLAs and project milestones Overseeing IT infrastructure including Microsoft 365, cloud services, networking, endpoint management and server environments Supporting IT due diligence and onboarding for newly acquired businesses, including integration planning Maintaining and improving IT documentation, governance and policy standards across the group Identifying and managing IT‑related risks, supporting operational resilience Supporting the Head of IT in delivering the group IT roadmap and prioritising key initiatives Acting as a senior escalation point for IT issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption Experience 3–5 years’ experience in IT operations, IT management or a senior IT role within a professional environment Experience working with cyber security frameworks, tools or improvement programmes Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration, modern infrastructure and cloud or hybrid environments Experience managing or mentoring junior IT team members Proven ability to manage external MSPs and technology suppliers Skills & capabilities Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across a multi‑site environment Clear communication skills, with confidence engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders A proactive, solutions‑focused approach to problem solving High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement Desirable Experience in a group, multi‑site or acquisition‑led environment Exposure to compliance frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 or SOC 2 Experience contributing to IT strategy, roadmap planning or transformation initiatives Experience supporting onboarding or standardisation across multiple entities Benefits Opportunity to take ownership of IT operations across a growing, acquisition‑led group A broad role combining leadership, technical oversight and strategic input Direct exposure to senior stakeholders and group‑wide initiatives Clear progression opportunity into more senior IT or technology leadership roles Flexible, hybrid working #J-18808-Ljbffr
