IT Infrastructure Analyst

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Analyst to support a major transformation programme, consolidating multiple accountancy firms into a centralised Microsoft Azure environment. This role will play a key part in migrating diverse legacy infrastructures (including on‑premises and existing cloud estates) into a unified, secure, and scalable Azure platform. The contractor will work closely with internal IT teams, third‑party vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient transitions.

Key Responsibilities Support the migration of infrastructure, systems, and services into Azure Assess and document existing environments (on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud‑based) Design and implement migration strategies (lift‑and‑shift, replatforming, or modernisation) Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are maintained throughout Troubleshoot and resolve migration‑related issues Collaborate with project managers to track progress and manage risks Produce clear technical documentation and handover materials Provide knowledge transfer to internal teams post‑migration Execute migrations of: Servers and virtual machines File services and storage Line‑of‑business applications Support tenant consolidation and identity integration across multiple entities Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, including: Azure Migrate and related tooling Azure AD / Entra ID, identity management, and hybrid identity Proven experience delivering infrastructure migration or transformation projects Experience migrating from: Solid understanding of: Networking (VPNs, firewalls, routing) Security best practices in cloud environments Backup and disaster recovery solutions Experience with Microsoft 365 tenant migrations Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Experience within professional services or accountancy firms Familiarity with accountancy platforms such as CCH & IRIS Infrastructure as Code (e.g. ARM, Bicep, Terraform) Endpoint management (Intune) Data migration tools and strategies #J-18808-Ljbffr
