All operations are administered from our Support Center in Woodstock, New Brunswick.
Franchise Management Inc., is hiring an IT Field Technician to support restaurant technology across multiple regions in Canada, including Atlantic, Central, West, and Quebec. This is a field-based IT role responsible for hands-on installation, upgrades, and on-site technical support across the restaurant network. This role will support new store builds, equipment rollouts, and ongoing technology maintenance across multiple brands.
Responsibilities:
- Install and set up POS systems, networking equipment, and IT hardware in new stores
- Support technology upgrades and national rollout projects
- Provide on-site troubleshooting and support for escalated technical issues
- Assist with equipment staging, delivery, and inventory tracking
- Work in active restaurant environments across your assigned region
- Full-Time, Permanent
- Home-based within assigned region
- Up to 80% travel across assigned territory (including overnight travel)
- Work is primarily field-based in active restaurant locations (not office-based)
- Primarily Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work based on project needs
- Overnight travel required at times (per company travel policy)
- Occasional evening and weekend work required based on project schedules and store hours
- Use of personal vehicle required for travel between sites
Qualifications:
- IT diploma or equivalent hands-on technical/field experience
- Experience with cabling, low-voltage, or IT installations
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable working independently in the field and in active restaurant environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
