IS ANALYST/DEVELOPER

Roscommon County Council’s Information Systems (IS) department provides a wide range of ICT services to approx. 500 staff, 18 Elected Members, and delivers front-line services to members of the public and other stakeholders. The IS Analyst/Developer will be expected to keep current with new technologies and introduce systems which utilise these technologies to optimise existing services and provide new service opportunities for Roscommon County Council.

The IS Department provides a wide range of ICT services to Roscommon County Council and its customers. As such, due to the dynamic nature of ICT, and the changing business requirements within the Council, all ICT posts require a flexibility to work in other IT roles as needs require. Additional duties may be assigned by the Head of IS from time to time.

The successful candidate ’s role may span one or more areas of expertise. The area of specialisation in this campaign relates to Business Systems, Innovation & Digital Development. The successful candidate will be expected to build dynamic reports for management and key stakeholders on a range of platforms.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the objectives of Roscommon County Council’s (RCC’s) Digital Transformation programme are met by increasing citizen engagement and employee adoption of all new digitized business processes.
