We are seeking an experienced Lead Technician / Technician Manager to take on a key leadership role based out of Brisbane, QLD, with an immediate start available.

What We’re Looking For
iPlay Australia is looking for an experienced Lead Technician / Technician Manager to take charge of technical operations across our venues and support national initiatives as our business continues to grow.
This role blends hands‑on technical leadership with coordination, training and process ownership. You’ll oversee the QLD technician team, manage warehouse and logistics operations, and help build the systems that keep our national technical function running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
Team Leadership & Operations
Manage rostering, approvals and daily allocation of QLD Technicians
Provide roaming technical support across QLD venues, diagnosing and repairing arcade, redemption and bowling equipment as needed
Act as a point of escalation and support for technicians nationally
Oversee warehouse organisation, logistics, refurbishment and commissioning of games equipment
Building National Capability
Support national board‑level repairs in collaboration with senior technical staff
Contribute to national parts ordering and supplier relationship support
Develop technician training documentation and support national onboarding programs
Help establish and maintain a national asset register
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules across all venues
Contribute to national technician safety documentation and WHS compliance
Support national machine compliance management processes
Reporting & Performance
Play a key role in shaping national technical standards and processes
Prepare and maintain games activity (payout) reporting
Track and report on games uptime/offline performance across venues
Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset documentation
What You’ll Bring
Team management and leadership skills
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in electronics, mechanical repair, maintenance or a similar technical field, ideally including experience leading or coordinating a team
Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring and mechanical components
Proven troubleshooting, fault‑finding and PCB‑level diagnostic skills
Experience with rostering, scheduling or resource coordination highly regarded
Strong organisational skills, particularly around logistics, documentation and reporting
Experience with arcade, gaming, amusement or bowling equipment is highly regarded but not essential
Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to workplace safety and compliance
Confidence developing training materials and supporting the growth of junior technicians
Flexibility to work varied hours and travel between venues, including interstate as required
Current driver's licence
