Investment Banking Analyst Location: Mumbai, India Department: Investment Banking / Corporate Finance Experience: 1β2 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are looking for a sharp, motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join our team at Keynote Financial Services. In this role, you will work closely with senior bankers across live M&A mandates, capital markets transactions, and corporate finance advisory engagements. This is a high-visibility position offering direct exposure to deal execution, client interaction, and the opportunity to build a strong foundation for a long-term career in investment banking.
Key Responsibilities Transaction Execution & Deal Support β’ Support the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, capital raises, and advisory mandates, from origination through to closing. β’ Prepare and maintain detailed financial models, including DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, LBO, and merger models. β’ Conduct in-depth financial analysis, business due diligence, and industry benchmarking to support client engagements. Research & Market Intelligence β’ Perform sector research, competitive landscape mapping, and target screening using databases such as Bloomberg, PrivateCircle, Ace Equity, and Merger Market. β’ Track market trends, regulatory developments, and deal activity to support origination efforts and pitch preparation. Client Deliverables & Presentations β’ Draft investment teasers, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, pitch books, and board-level advisory decks. β’ Prepare valuation summaries, transaction comparables, and other client-facing materials to the highest standards of accuracy and visual quality.
Process & Productivity β’ Leverage AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and similar platforms to enhance research efficiency, automate routine analysis, and accelerate deliverable preparation. β’ Manage data rooms, coordinate with legal and financial due diligence teams, and ensure seamless execution of transaction workflows. Required Qualifications Experience β’ 1β2 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Strategy, Corporate M&A, or Financial Due Diligence (FDD) at a reputable firm. Education β’ Post-Graduate degree in Finance (MBA Finance / MS Finance) OR Chartered Accountant (CA), OR CFA (minimum Level I cleared).
Technical & Analytical Skills β’ Strong command of financial modelling and valuation methodologies (DCF, trading comps, transaction comps, accretion/dilution, LBO). β’ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulae, scenario analysis, sensitivity tables) and Microsoft PowerPoint (institutional-quality presentations). β’ Working knowledge of research and financial databases, including Bloomberg Terminal, PrivateCircle, Ace Equity, and Merger Market. AI & Technology Fluency β’ Demonstrated ability to use generative AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, and similar tools) effectively to improve research output, accelerate analysis, and enhance productivity. Soft Skills β’ Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills. β’ Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. β’ Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in financial markets, deal-making, and the Indian mid-market ecosystem.
