Richard Lloyd Recruitment
Job Description
Richard Lloyd Recruitment – Sydney CBD NSW
Support M&A and investment transactions from origination through execution
Boutique M&A advisory and investing team
Sydney CBD | Salary package $130K-$160K + Super, dependent on experience
Company Background
This boutique Sydney advisory firm also invests directly in deals, combining hands-on corporate advisory with direct investing exposure. The team advises business owners, management teams and institutional investors on mergers, acquisitions and capital raisings, while also investing directly alongside clients in select transactions.
You’ll work closely with experienced dealmakers from day one, gaining exposure most graduates and junior professionals would only see years into their career. The business has a strong recent track record and continues to grow its mandate pipeline.
Key highlights include
- Small, tight-knit team with genuine access to senior decision-makers
- Strong and growing deal pipeline across a range of sectors
The Role
This Analyst role sits at the centre of the firm's deal execution, working directly with senior dealmakers across live M&A and investment transactions from origination through to completion.
- Build and maintain financial models, including DCF, comparable company and precedent transaction analysis
- Conduct financial and commercial due diligence, reviewing financials, management information and market data
- Support valuation and deal structuring across live buy-side and sell-side mandates
- Draft investment memos, board papers and materials for senior stakeholders
- Prepare pitch materials, information memorandums and management presentations
- Liaise directly with management teams, advisers and other external parties on live deals
- Monitor and analyse portfolio positions where the firm has co-invested
- Get involved in origination and deal sourcing conversations, not just execution
Your Background
We're looking for candidates from one of two backgrounds: a Big 4 or mid-tier Transaction Services, M&A or Corporate Finance team, or a current investment banking analyst. Either background is genuinely welcome, what matters most is strong technical ability and the confidence to work closely with experienced, senior operators.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and due diligence skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-intensity deal environment
- Confident communicator, able to engage directly with senior stakeholders and push back when needed
- Genuine interest in both advisory and investing, not just deal execution
- Comfortable working 5 days a week in the office.
