Inventory Control Clerk

Our customer in Freeport, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Inventory Control Clerks to work full-time on 1st shift. As an Inventory Control Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and supporting warehouse operations through accurate inventory management. Responsibilities of the Inventory Control Clerk

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of physical inventory counts within the facility. Maintain a well-organized, clean, and safe storage area with properly labeled and easily accessible items. Conduct daily cycle counts to monitor inventory levels. Regularly update inventory records to verify that actual stock quantities align with system records. Assist purchasing and supply chain teams by providing current stock level information and inventory forecasts. Perform searches within the warehouse to locate and verify inventory. Ensure all products are stored in optimal conditions and promptly identify and report damaged, expired, or unsellable goods. Investigate and resolve inventory variances through research and system review. Collaborate with purchasing, shipping, and other departments to address inventory needs and resolve discrepancies. Report inventory variances to management in a timely manner. Notify management of any operational procedure issues requiring corrective action. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Perform any additional duties as required. Requirements and Qualifications:

Previous inventory control, cycle counting, warehouse, or related experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain organized inventory records. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer and data entry skills. Ability to work in a warehouse environment and conduct physical inventory counts. Strong organizational and time management skills. Commitment to workplace safety and company procedures. Pay for Inventory Control Clerk: Starting at $17-$18/hour.
