Your new role
An opportunity has become available for an Intermediate Accountant to join a growing Business Services team. Working closely with experienced Managers and Partners, you'll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from established SMEs to larger private and family-owned groups.Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Assisting with tax compliance and business advisory engagements
- Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance-related work
- Building strong relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
- Supporting senior team members with client projects and business improvement initiatives
- Developing your technical knowledge across tax and accounting matters
This role offers broad client exposure and the opportunity to work on more complex business structures than typically found in smaller compliance-focused environments.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful, you’ll possess:
- 1-3 years' experience within a public practice accounting firm
- Exposure to business services and tax compliance work
- Experience working with companies, trusts and business clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A desire to continue developing your technical accounting and tax knowledge
- Current CA studies, intentions to commence CA, or strong undergraduate accounting qualifications
Experience working with larger private groups, family-owned businesses and SMEs will be highly regarded.
