Interim Assistant Accountant (Potential of Perm)

MCS Group are delighted to be working with a successful and growing organisation to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis for an initial 3-month period, with the potential of being made permanent.

This is an immediate start opportunity offering excellent exposure across a busy finance function.

As the successful Assistant Accountant, you will receive:

• £30,000+ salary

The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Bringing accounts up to trial balance
• Bank reconciliations
• Cashflow management
• VAT returns
• Supporting month-end processes

The Person

The successful Assistant Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience in a similar accounts role
• Experience taking accounts through to trial balance
• Strong Excel skills
• Good understanding of VAT and month-end processes
• A hands-on approach with the ability to get stuck in
• Available to start as soon as possible
